The greatest battle that was ever won.

In the court of heaven , satan presented himself before God and said, “Adam sinned and gave his authority to me. The souls of all men must  now belong to me.”

Jesus glimpsed  into the future and saw me, then He and the Father took counsel together. Jesus  turned to satan and answered “NEVER!! I will pay the price for their redemption. How wonderful and how marvelous is my Savior’s love for me!

“Satan knew if this could be done, then men would be free forever. Satan watched Jesus all the way up Calvary hoping to kill Him before He reached the cross. Jesus looked satan in the face and said, “I lay down my life and take it up again. You do not have power over me.” Jesus, who knew  my fate because of the debt I owed but could not pay, chose to take my place. It was the guiltless for the guilty.

Jesus, how could you love me so much that You would give permission  to the creation of your hands to crucify You for my sins, for which I deserved to die.  It should have been Your hands that were judging me for my disobedience and sin, but instead You chose to stretch out those hands to be nailed to a cross as punishment in my place.Greater love will no one  have for me  than this: that Jesus would lay down his life for me.

Since the Father, for my sake, did not spare His own Son, won’t he also give me everything else?  For God so loved me that he gave his one and only Son for me, and I  believe in him who did this for me, therefore I will not perish but have eternal life. My life is hidden in Jesus and as He is, so am I in this world. I am deeply loved by the Father.

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him —2 Corinthians 5:21
